1 Mechanical Engineering
Chapter 13 Mechanical Engineering It is a branch of engineering that focus on the design, production and working of different technical objects.(p426)

2 LINKS When an object has 2 or more parts then a link is needed to hold the two parts together.

3 Removable or Permanent Links
Links can be permanent that when you try to remove them they damage the object or they can be easily removable without any damage.

4 Complete or Partial Links
When the two objects can not move independently of each other then it is a complete link. A partial link allows at least one part to move independently.

5 Direct or Indirect Links
When the link holds two parts together without any linking component that it is a direct link. An indirect link needs a linking component between the two object.

6 Rigid or Flexible Links
A rigid link is a link that is not moveable, it is not flexible. Springs and rubber are examples of flexible links.

7 GUIDING CONTROLS p Translational guiding is when the motion is in one direction, up and down or left to right.

8 Rotational Guiding is when the motion is in a circle.

9 Helical guiding is when you have rotational and translational guiding.
