PPSO REQUIREMENTS GBLOC EDIT CAPABILITIES COUNTRY INSTRUCTIONS WHAT IS IMPORTANT! TOGETHER, WE DELIVER. …But the Nature (Purpose) of Logistics is Unchanged (Immutable) – To Project / Sustain Military Power

4 WHAT THE PPCIG IS FOR--REMINDER
Used to define requirements/restrictions of the Host-Country destination DURING counseling for IMPORTS to the Country NOT used to define requirements/restrictions for EXPORTS from the Country Is one of the foundations of DPS to determine whether the pickup and delivery locations are OCONUS or CONUS based on the mapping and association of Cities to Countries and GBLOCs

5 PPSO RESPONSIBILITIES
The Defense Transportation Regulations, Individual Missions, Roles, and Responsibilities, paragraph X.12.ee. states Transportation Offices are required to ensure their PPCIG page is current. USTRANSCOM-Pacific recommends: GBLOCs review their PPCIG page every six (6) months as phone numbers may change without remembering the PPCIG is supposed to be updated Country Instructions be reviewed for accuracy once every year

6 PPSO REQUIREMENTS Each GBLOC needs to ensure at least ONE person has the DPS GBLOC PPCIG Manager Role Having the PPCIG Manager Role ensures the PPSO has the capability to edit the GBLOC page Phone/Fax numbers addresses Transportation Officer name and title Especially critical for GBLOCs whose Transportation Officer changes frequently due to PCS

7 PPSO REQUIREMENTS (Cont’d)
When a PPSO/PPPO comes across a City not in DPS, PPSO/PPPO in the Pacific AoR NEED to contact USTRANSCOM-Pacific to get the correct City mapped/associated in DPS to the correct GBLOC STRONGLY SUGGEST the counselor locate the City and Province/Prefecture on-line and provide a map of the location We will try to find the city via the TRANSCOM Reference Data Management (TRDM) website If exact City not found, will try to find a City in DPS within 50 miles from the actual city We will initiate a SRC HelpDesk ticket and forward resolution once received (between 3-5 business days)

8 GBLOC PPCIG EDIT CAPABILITIES
PAST STRUTS technology was used to display the PPCIG In 2017, version 1.0 was outdated and no longer supported in web browsers Added nonsense "<br><br>" whenever someone attempted PPCIG updates Paragraphs “clumped” together in ONE paragraph, and not reader-friendly
