14. John 19:1-5 The Crown of Thorns
-No doubt the blood was streaming down from his head across his face and down across his garments as Pilate made the statement:
BEHOLD THE MAN! – vs. 5
The Blood of an Innocent man – Matt 27: 4 “I have sinned in betraying the innocent blood.”
The Blood was untainted – 1st Peter 1:19 “But with the precious blood of Christ, as a lamb without blemish and without spot.”
The Blood was given willingly – John 10:19 “No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself.”

15. The Blood was Necessary – Hebrews 9: 22 “And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no remission.”
The Blood was Acceptable Blood – Romans 3:25 “Whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith to demonstrate His righteousness.”
The Blood was Sanctifying Blood – Hebrews 13:12 “Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the camp.

16. The Blood was Reconciling Blood – Colossians 1:20 “And by Him to Reconcile all things to Himself by Him, whether things on earth or in Heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.”
The Blood was Redeeming Blood – Ephesians 1:7 “In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.”
The Blood is Cleansing and Purifying Blood – 1st John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son, cleanses us from all sin.”
