End Time Pressures One of the greatest pressures in the End Times will come from false teachers within the Church. II Peter 2 and Jude

Jude 4 For certain men (false teachers) have crept in unnoticed…ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny…our Lord Jesus Christ. (Jude 4)

Grace gives us confidence… Grace gives us confidence that God enjoys us (after we stumble and repent) and empowers us to be wholehearted, rather than making us comfortable in compromise and passivity.

Tear your heart! Spiritual violence – TEARING YOUR HEART! Matt 5:29-30: So if your eye – even if it is your good eye – causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your hand – even if it is your stronger hand – causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away…..

Jesus is KING Jesus OWNS you- He owns your heart, body, time, money and destiny! We do not have the right to do what we want – we are slaves to Jesus.

You are owned I Cor. 6:18-20: Flee sexual immorality…19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you..and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your sprit, which are Gods.

You are in a Kingdom with a KING He calls you to obedience – He is the King. The power of true grace is only experienced in consistently pursuing 100 fold obedience.

Powerful dynamics Pursuit of 100 fold obedience – different than attainment. 98% pursuit of obedience has a limited blessing on it. The last 2% is what positions us for a vibrant heart!

Positioning In Gods economy there are certain things that God requires of us. Positioning our hearts before His fire is one of them.

Division of Labor in Grace Law = Work Grace some think = No work Actually: Grace = Work The motivation for the work is very different between Law and Grace.

Motivation Salvation is free! Righteousness is free. All that is required of us is that we drag our cold hearts before His fire: Repentance, tearing our hearts, fasting, etc.

Jesus calls us to STRIVE! YIKES – not THAT!! – STRIVE? Exert Effort? Mt. 7:13-14: Enter by the narrow gate…14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life (experience God in our inner man), and there are few who find it.

Strive – really? Luke 13: 23-24: Lord, are there few who are saved?: and He said to them, 24 Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

Paul exerted effort Acts 24:16: I always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and man.

When do we strive and When do we not? Be careful to get this wrong is to walk in legalism! We do not strive to earn Gods love (acceptance, affection or forgiveness)

We DO strive… To live in holiness! Breakthrough in the heart so we might enjoy what He enjoys.

We do strive… We strive or exert great effort to bring everything, EVERYTHING, in our lives into conformity with what pleases Jesus! And to hold our cold hearts before Gods bonfire so as to receive freely from His fire at the heart level.

Cooperation with Gods grace God will not do our part and we cannot do His part! Our part: includes making quality decisions to deny ourselves (say no to sin), to feed our spirit on the Word, to ask for Gods help through prayer with fasting, and to embrace Godly activities (serving) and relationships (fellowship, confessing our sins), etc.

Gods part! Remember we CANNOT do His part: His part is to release supernatural influences on our heart (power, wisdom, desires) on our body (healing) and on our circumstances (provision, protection, direction) and relationships (favor).

Rightly relating to God Legalism: our confidence is based on our attainment of maturity. We relate to God on the basis of HIS burning desire and heart for us!

Relating to God If we relate to God on the basis of how well we have done in the past, then if we do well, we are proud, but if we do badly, we are condemned. This is NOT how God wants us to relate to Him.

Awake - Arise Make a decision to: Tear your hearts! To pursue Holiness at the cost – the cost is much! Press into HIM with all diligence.
