3 Parallel Structure Be aware of combining the following:
infinitives, participial phrases, and subordinate clauses action verbs with linking verbs infinitives and gerunds

4 Practice Identify the like and unlike parts using symbols (, O, ∆)
1. The model learned to speak well, to walk, and applying makeup correctly. 2. He was a professional baseball player and also played the violin. 3. Telling your intentions and to carry them out are two different matters. 4. I liked to swim, to fish, and to hike.

5 Assignment English I: textbook pg. 340, exercise 7 (1-5).
Write the sentences and identify the like and unlike parts with a symbol. English II: textbook pg. 363 (1-5).
