IMMUNISATION PROGRAMME- IMPORTANT NOTICE Tuesday 19th March 2019 DTP/MenACWY Boys & Girls S3 (S4-S6 Catch up) HPV - Girls (S1-S6 Catch up) MMR –Boys & Girls (S1-S2 Catch up) These will be taking place in the Staffroom and involves all S3 pupils and some S1/S2/S4/S5/S6 pupils. All S3 pupils have been issued with documentation for the S3 DTP/MenACWY vaccinations via their tutor class. All DTP/MenACWY catch up pupils will be notified via tutor once this information has been received by the school. Pupil who have missed their HPV or MMR vaccination should make their way to the staffroom at the allocated time below. As you will see the vaccination programme has increased greatly over the last few years with the introduction of new vaccines and the primary method of delivery is through schools. To limit disruption to learning and teaching they are trying to limit these to two visits per year which will include the main vaccination programme and catch up. Thank you for your assistance and support with this very important event. Bannerman High School S1 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE INTER-HOUSE 5 A SIDE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT. A reminder to S1 tutor classes, that the Lunchtime Inter-House 5 a side Football tournament, starts today Monday March 11th until Friday March 15th. Monday 11thMarch, 12.55pm pm is for Group 1, involving Houses - Burns, Livingstone & MacKintosh Tuesday 12thMarch, 12.55pm pm is Group 2, Houses - Napier, Telford and Wallace Can the 8 players from each House team, please be meet at the Games hall by 12.55pm on the day your group games are taking place. The rules of the tournament will be explained to all players by School Sports Young Ambassadors, prior to the first group games. Thursday March 14th - Semi Final , 12.55pm pm Friday 15th March - Final, 12.55pm pm. Bannerman High School FOODBANK SPRING COLLECTION. The Foodbank Team, in Partnership with the Glasgow North East Foodbank would like to thank all of the Bannerman High School Pupils and Staff for their generous support with the 2018 Christmas Collection. We will be launching our spring collection that will start on Monday 4th March until Friday 29th March. Members of the Foodbank team will be visiting Tutor classes to deliver new barometers to track and chat to pupils about the partnership. Assemblies will be delivered to S2 pupils on the week beginning the 4th March to mark the start of our Easter collection. If any staff or pupils will like to get involved in volunteering visits, sourcing donations or helping others learn about the work of foodbanks then please get in touch with Miss Mulholland or Mr Boyle. The items we are looking for to deliver to the Foodbank in Parkhead are: Telford - Tinned Fish Mackintosh - Fruit Juice Wallace - Tinned Fruit Burns - Long Life Milk Napier - Cereal Livingstone - Sugar Respect Responsibility Ambition

Bannerman High School Spring Foodbank Collection We only have 3 weeks remaining of our spring collection during for our partnership with the Glasgow North East Foodbank! All items should be sent to Pupil Support with a note of the class and teacher. Remember, a foodbank is for life not just for Christmas!!! Respect Responsibility Ambition

15 DANCE-A-THON! You will learn three different dance combos: contemporary, jazz and commercial. It will cost £2 to take part, to sign up come to the Dance Studio at interval and lunch Wednesday 13th March. (All participants must sign up) In order to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation our Bannerman Senior Dance Leaders are organising a DANCE-A-THON on Wednesday 20th March pm !
