Extension AP #1 (Image A) received an average KL grade of 1, while Flexion PA #1 (Image D) received an average KL grade of 3.5. Image B received an average KL grade of 1.75, while image D received an average KL grade of 4. Image C received an average KL grade of 2.25, while image F received an average KL grade of 4. Note how the flexion PA films better illustrate tibial osteophyte lipping (D), femoral osteophytes (E) obliteration of the joint space (E and F), subchondral sclerosis (F), and deformation of bony ends (E and F).
