1 Cartilage Thickness, Denudation and Kl Grade: A Study of Medial Femorotibial Joints in 8,890 Knees from the Osteoarthritis Initiative  G. Guillard, G.R. Vincent, A. Brett, P.G. Conaghan, M.A. Bowes  Osteoarthritis and Cartilage  Volume 25, Pages S223-S224 (April 2017) DOI: /j.joca Copyright © Terms and Conditions

2 Figure 1: Mean thickness and denudation of medial femorotibial cartilage thickness by KL. grade. All thickness and denudation measures are displayed on the mean bone shape. The mean position and size of the medial meniscus is shown as a transparent green structure to provide orientation to the view. The pale yellow peripheral rim on the denudation maps should be disregarded – this is caused by slight differences in the boundaries of measurement across the population sample. Regions used in this study are shown at the bottom right. Osteoarthritis and Cartilage  , S223-S224DOI: ( /j.joca ) Copyright © Terms and Conditions

3 Figure 2: Distribution of thickness in central medial femur and tibia by KL grade, as percentage of the population. The distribution of cartilage thickness for each measure, by KL grade is shown in the histogram. Note, that for each measure the population of KL2 cartilage measure are almost identical to the KL0 and KL1 population.
