6. Our Purpose:
Today we are going to revisit some of the ever-evolving elements of “Classroom Management” & its correlation to the “Louisiana Teacher Compass Evaluation Rubric”, using the 50 States & their Capital Cities.

The students will learn how to accurately identify the capital city of each of the 50 states, in the United States of America.
Objectives:
To recognize the 50 states and their capital cities by their cardinal positions, according to the compass rose, on a map.
To introduce a variety of effective strategies that will increase student comprehension, knowledge and achievement.

Classroom procedures and routines are essential for a productive classroom climate.
Adding “rigor” makes an activity/lesson challenging & eliminates opportunities for disruptions.
Students are more motivated to learn, when given choices :)
