The BFP – is appointed by law as – authority – who deals with applications for -
And the Dutch BFP has two sources of income – 1. income out of applicatioin fees –
2. Income out of the Additional Funds we get from the Ministery of Economic Affairs
This short presentation is about the second source of income: - the Aadditonal Funds we get from the ministry of E.A.

Board has two kinds of revenues:
a) revenues from application fees
b) revenues from the Ministry of Economic affairs (Additional funds)

Start begin - First – revenues application fees – about – concerns execution of our legal task – tasks which where assigned by the legislator to the board which is mainly
Handling of applications for national PBR and admission to the national Register of Plant Varieties and forestry stands

Additional Funds form Ministry - about € a year – budget isn’t four assigned legal tasks – which is handeling – but other activities – extension of legal

Board has five additional activities:
To establish a register of Agricultural varieties
obligation under EU law
Requirement for marketing agricultural material
2) Policysupport to the Ministry of Economic Affairs
in international PBR and registration matters
There are 5 additional tasks - these five additional activities are alle concerning – in a broad way – the legal tasks of the Board – so al Tasks regarding National PBR or National listing varieties
First – to establis a list of agricultural varieties – know only trade - budget is around € – most of the budget is used for activities regarding - value for cultivation and use testing for agricultural varieties
Supervision activities are for example – making of calculations voor VCU testing and notification activities –
Those who benefit are those who apply for National - in agricultural crops
Second – Policysupport to the ministry – this regards the policy support to the Ministry on international policy matters of PBR and listing of varieties – from this budget the participaton in meetings of Naktuinbouw or the Board in UPOV, CPVO and EU meetings are paid.

3) To establish a register of Forestry stands
obligation under EU law
requirement for marketing of forestry material
4) To establish and execute VCU tests in forestry
1. Under EU law only forestry ppm from stands from registered tree species – can be used for forestry purposes
So in Holland the Bfp issues the National List of Forestry Stand
In this National list is indicated which prop mat - can be used best for forestry purposes – taking in acount for ex. the area, soil – of the forest
these activities are also paid from
Those who benefit form this task – you and me – public interest – enjoy healty forests – geneticly well adopted to the Dutch climate
2. Second – there also Value for Cultivation and Use testing in forestry stands –
That is about gathering data on a big number of growing trails with trees on the premisses of Staatsbosbeheer
Also these activities are paid from the additional resources
Those who benefit – these two tasks - you and me – public interest – enjoy healty forests – geneticly well adopted to Dutch climate and different kinds soil
