To transmit a deeper knowledge on the ESS Vision 2020 implementation to the PGSC informed strategic decisions To discuss relevance of portfolio projects for the enlargement countries possible involvement in some ESS.VIPs

9 4. Recent news Restricted part DGINS focussed on strategic risks related to the ESS Vision 2020 implementation. ESSC discussed progress in implementation. DIGICOM business case to be presented in November ESSC. Informal reflection group of DGs met in July to discuss how European statistics could be promoted, incl. branding (and certification) ESAC recommended ways for dealing with users

What could be the best way of involving the enlargement countries in ESS.VIP projects workshops/seminars? On the basis of which criteria could the relevance of the projects be decided? In which ESS.VIP project workshops/seminars would it be relevant to participate?
