2. Voice
Think about a time when you read an or text from a friend. You can usually “hear” that friend talking to you through the words and phrases he or she uses.
The personality that comes through in any piece of writing is the voice.
The voice can belong to a writer or a narrator.
Either way, voice is created through the writer’s style.

It can be described using words like formal, conversational, or journalistic.
