2. Cambodia with its neighbours
Introduction
Prepare a location map using your GIS with a title, scale bar, North direction, a comprehensive legend and a figure caption. Your map should include neighbouring countries and their Capital cities. please include an overview map.

3. Biodiversity description andthreats
Cambodia has got one of the some of the most diverse biodiversity in South East Asia.
Most of its forests has got a high number of threatened and endangered species in South East Asia for example animals which are extinct in its neighbouring countries such as Vietnam such as the Siamese crocodile and Asian elephant.

Cambodia possesses some of the most valuable biodiversity in South East Asia. Its forests still hold (although in decreasing numbers) threatened species such as the Siamese crocodile and Asian elephant that are no longer found in the wild in neighboring countries

A large number of plant species are still being found in Cambodia .There has been a discovery of ferns in Cambodia so far. Cambodia possess many biodiversity hotspots areas where there is not only wide biodiversity but also a significant number of species under threat.(ICUN red list ,2010)

5. CURRENT PROTECTED AREAS
Methods
Natural protected areas in Cambodia are defined as spaces which are given extra protection to support long-term conservation of wildlife, nature, ecosystems and cultures of Cambodia . While some existing areas have been resized, additional natural protected areas under a new category, ‘Ramsar’ sites, were established in 1999 after Cambodia became a member to the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance, the so-called Ramsar Convention. Under this international legal framework, Cambodia’s Ramsar sites have the highest protection at the international level.

6. CONSERVATION planning units (ecological)
Methods
This ecological units were prepared using ArcView. The admin0 shape file of Cambodia was used as the outline . Then I utilised the extention repeating shapes then after pressing next I clicked all records to get all the available records to make my shape file ,I then used areas of I checked the unique id to see if had the sufficient number of polygons . After getting my shape file I then saved the hexagon in my Cambodia country file
I went to idrisi and imported the hexagon shape file vector ,which I then created a blank by using the initial tool .After making a blank for the vector file , I then did raster to vector .Lastly I added the North arrow, scale bar, title, legend and pallet.

Complementary: Planning units should be able to complement between each other perfectly
Efficiency: An efficient reserve network is one that meets most of the conservation targets at the least possible cost .
Adequacy: An ecosystem should be sufficient to ensure the conservation of all species in it.
Representativeness: biodiversity feature should be representative of each feature and species to be successful
Connectedness: A connected reserve system is one with a minimum area but covering a large number of species .
