After the North Koreans invade the South, the US and the UN prepare to invade the peninsula and fight on the side of the South.

4. The End of the War The Korean War technically has not ended
An armistice was signed in 1953 setting a De-Militarized Zone (DMZ)
American troops are still stationed in South Korean incase the war re-ignites
In March of 2013, North Korea stated they had “invalidated” the 1953 armistice and were no longer bound by non-aggression declarations

5. The Impact of the Korean War
In 1970, Director Robert Altman presented a film called M*A*S*H
Stood for Mobile Army Surgical Hospital
Followed a group of Army doctors fighting in the Korean War
It was made into one of the most popular television series in American history
The movie and show were a commentary on the Vietnam War but kept the Korean War in people’s minds
