1 Key workers in health promotion
AO4

2 In this final section You need to show that you understand the different job roles of key workers involved in health promotion, and their responsibilities when promoting good health. You should: Describe how the campaign may be suitable for use by relevant key workers (L3) And clearly explain why it would be suitable including its advantages and disadvantages. For the disadvantages, say how the key worker could adapt it for their use (L4).

3 What to do: Choose 3 relevant key workers. (Relevant to your target group).

4 2. For each one, BRIEFLY : Describe the main duties of their job role.
Say where they work/are based (e.g. hospital, school, clinic, community). Say how the TG gets access to them (e.g. through school, youth clubs, AN clinics, GP surgeries). Say if the key worker’s job role involves physical, emotional or mental health (there may be more than one aspect of health). Explain how they might communicate with the TG (e.g. one to one, group work, short term/long term, by talk, presentations, activity programmes).

5 3. Evaluate how useful your campaign could be for them to use in their job role. Include its advantages and disadvantages to them, and include any adaptations you think they would need to make to it.

6 Where can you find the information you need?
The careers section of the college library has some very useful books which have an A-Z of careers. These include a very wide range of job roles. The NHS careers website has a lot of information on health related job roles. The Prospects website has a variety of information.

7 Finally Check with me that your chosen key worker roles are suitable before you start work on them.
