Arrive on time to the contest
Game ball shaggers
Efficient reporting to the scorer/tracker
Business-like interaction with team staff & host school staff
Rule knowledge to be able to explain something briefly & correctly
Non-verbal communication between officials
Numerous served balls hit out of the court
Coaches or spectators who know us wanting to socialize
Court issues that need to be fixed prior to the contest
Lots of substitutions
Coaches who want to challenge judgment calls constantly

4. How can we accomplish this? What tools do we have?
Time limits – between sets, time outs
Use of cards to control extended unsporting acts
Our own awareness that something is getting out of hand (on the court, the score table, spectators, team benches)
Our own presentation style. Bring a business attitude to the contest to manage it professionally
