8/29/17 You have a guest teacher today, how should the class demonstrate the 3 Rs. Be specific.

8/30/17 Describe class yesterday with the guest teacher.  What kind of a report do you think she left?  Why?

8/30/17 Quick-Write (review) OETS
A well written summary includes the author, title, and a description of the main ideas of a text distinct from personal opinions and judgments.  Look at the details or events that you highlighted in "One Experience: Two Stories" and write a summary of one side of the paper.  (one perspective)

8/30/17 One definition of perspective is, a noun that means a way of regarding situations or topics. Your perspective is the way you see something. We learned Monday that our essential question is:   How can one’s perspective cause him/her to succeed or fail?

8/31/17 Free-write- Write about a topic of your choice. If you would like a topic to write about. Write about experiences that people might have different perspectives about and explain each side.

9/1/17 Today you will not be writing on your warm up sheet. Everyone in this room should have read the Newsela article for understanding and then completed the questions. Pull out your article and check your answers, and then circle or highlight in your text where you found them. Just like when we free-write, the noise level should be a zero. Make sure you feel confident that your answers are correct.
