Use long division

7. Divide: x2 + 3x +2 by x + 1

8. (5x2 – 2x - 3)  (x -1)

9. Remainder
If it does not divide evenly then you put your remainder over the divisor

11. Divide: x2 + x + 1 by x + 1

12. Divide: x2 + 2x - 12 by x - 3

13. (x2 + 2x - 9)  (x - 2)

14. Insert missing terms if it is not in consecutive order with a 0
