Divide:

Divide a polynomial by a polynomial
(x2 + 5x + 6)  (x + 2) Use long division

Divide: x2 + 3x +2 by x + 1

(5x2 – 2x - 3)  (x -1)

Remainder If it does not divide evenly then you put your remainder over the divisor

Divide: x2 + x + 1 by x + 1

Divide: x2 + 2x - 12 by x - 3

(x2 + 2x - 9)  (x - 2)

Insert missing terms if it is not in consecutive order with a 0
Example: 0x
