HOMEWORK IS YOUR CHILD’S RESPONSIBILITY!
It is the expectation that fifth grade students will complete all assigned homework each night. Homework is an essential component in your child’s education, and is not assigned as a punishment.
Those failing to meet this expectation will not only fall behind in their academics, but will be required to attend study hall during recess. Parents will be notified of repeat offenders.

12. Regular school attendance is very important
Regular school attendance is very important. Not only does attendance reinforce and enrich the learning process; it also establishes patterns and attitudes that will carry forward into adult work habits. Students should only be absent in cases of illness or emergency. When students return to school after an absence, parents should send a note explaining the absence. Upon return, it is the student’s responsibility to make up all assignments, projects and tests that were missed during his/her absence. Tardiness and early check-outs are strongly discouraged, as this causes students to miss valuable instruction.
