14. REQUIREMENTS TO PROCESS
Normally tandem extrusion but can use Co-extrusion as well
Wire coating approx .005 in.
Need standard nylon screw

15. TANDEM WIRE COATING
The PVC and nylon extruders are separated- each with it’s own crosshead.
A vacuum can utilized to adjust the jacket tightness and remove outgasses.
Both PVC and nylon diameters can be monitored and controlled

16. CO-EXTRUSION COATING
The PVC and nylon extruders use one common crosshead.
A vacuum can utilized to adjust the jacket tightness and remove outgasses.
Only finished diameter can be monitored and controlled
A glass smooth finish can be attained.

17. REVIEW Nylene provides 3 separate nylon grades from wire coating
