They describe who we are, what we do and the futures we are helping to build. This event: Connected Creative Healthy Radical Responsible Is a typical example of how interdishiplinarity is at the heart of what we do at the University of Brighton (UoB); Cross-fertilisation and collaborations gives way to innovative ways of looking at R&E domains; How a research domain, which would traditionally be associated with the Healthy Futures’ R&E Agenda (HFs), can benefit from a wider Responsible Futures’ R&E Agenda (RFs) and scope RFs and HFs’ Creativity and Innovation in the way we operate at UoB has proved to lead to a broader and diverse set of opportunities COREs & Groups Environment and Esteem Enhance the grant application process and PGR experience

Whatever is the research and enterprise goals our researchers start their investigations from the listening of the voice of our communities and patients. Our expertise converge in exciting projects where basic knowledge generates innovative technological solutions and social policy models suitable at a global scale. The Healthy Futures Showcase Event we will hold on 5ht July at the Moulsecoomb Campus, Huxley Building will provide an overview of our sense of responsibility (We) in delivering knowledge and innovation in a wide range of key issues for our society. What? through strengthening existing & creating new interdisciplinary communities of practices by engage with existing networks of academic and practitioners contribute to the creation of more just and sustainable societies influence public, private and third sectors’ policy/practice and individual behaviours generate knowledge and interventions that facilitate good change Why? Responsible Futures Our Responsible Futures’ research and enterprise aim at creating knowledge and interventions that facilitate good change in scientific, artistic, education, socio-political, legal, heath and business cultures. Our RFs’ researchers are committed to engaging in theoretical, empirical and methodological research and enterprise, that will generate new ideas to responsibly and positively influence public, private and third sectors’ policy and practice as well as individual behaviours. Our RFs’ research and enterprise will contribute to the creation of more just and sustainable societies, by engaging with existing networks of academic and practitioners, as well as through the establishment of new interdisciplinary communities of practices at local, national and international level.
