Student is able to identify the roles of some of the elected officials.

Student consistently and independently identifies the roles of all of the elected officials.
Assessment Activities
Have students create a flip book with one page for each elected official. On the flap they should write the elected official’s name and role. Inside they should write a statement about what the elected official does and why the job is important.
Use the Distribution of Power anchor chart on the 2nd grade Social Studies page to create a matching activity for students. Copy the template and then cut out each section. For assessment purposes, ask students to correctly match each section.
