Item 3 - Recent developments - Eurostat Crime statistics : Working Group & Task Forces The Working Group was set up as referred to Commission Communication of 7/8/2006 (Action Plan ) and in the Commission Decision setting up the Expert Group Annual meetings of Working Group held 2007, 2008, 2009 Regular reports to annual meeting of Directors of Social Statistics; most recently a report on implementation of the Action Plan, September 2009 Mandate of the Working Group also includes the option: “To identify specific tasks within the European Statistical System relevant to the Action Plan for delegation to task forces, and to propose the mandates and members of such task forces.” Two task forces are currently operational victimisation crime data availability 18-19/2/2010 Working Group, Statistics on Crime and Criminal Justice i
