LEADER Plus Programme
This is an EU-backed initiative that aims to promote and assist enterprise in rural areas. In practical terms this has resulted in funding for a range of commercial and non-commercial initiatives including training, tourism, craft enterprises and environmental projects.

The LEADER Plus Programme is co-funded by the EU and Irish government. Current priorities include:
Improving the competitiveness of the agricultural and forestry sector.
