2. ATTENDANCE = HEALTHY GROWTH
The best place for your child to be during the day is at school.
Catching up is always harder than staying on track. Get involved/join a sport, club, volunteer, attend school events, etc., go to school every day and encourage your friends to do the same. Something keeping you from coming to school? Talk to someone, we can help.

3. ATTEND TODAY… ACHIEVE TOMORROW
Students who attend daily, on time, and ready to learn, are more likely to:
Be a successful student
Graduate from high school
Go to college
Get and KEEP a job in the future
Timeliness is important. Be in school on time and ready to learn daily. If you must be absent, be sure to provide a note, written & signed by your parent.

6. DRESS FOR SUCCESS WEAR UNIFORM
AUSD Uniform Policy
Uniforms are to be worn daily (unless otherwise announced)
Shoes should be comfortable, safe, and appropriate for physical activity
Any clothing that is inappropriate or may cause a distraction is not allowed

7. HELP YOUR CHILD FOCUS ON LEARNING
Check backpack and homework daily. No dangerous objects.
Leave distractions at home.
All cell phones must be kept in backpack and contract signed.
Manage your child’s technology.

8. New District Policy: No food will be allowed to be dropped off.
All students may bring a sack lunch or eat from the school cafeteria only.
Parents/Guardians will not be allowed to drop off any food or drinks at school.
Teacher discretion for birthday procedures, but no food/drinks can be dropped off.

10. BULLY FREE ZONE WHAT CAN YOU DO?
The 3 R’s of Bullying:
Recognize bully behavior
Refuse to take part in bullying
Report the incident to a trusted adult
Bullying can be physical, verbal, cyber or emotional
Help others if you see them being bullied, do not participate in bully behavior
Include others in play, especially if you see them being left out
If you think you’ve seen bullying, tell an adult/staff/parent, etc right away
