Effective Sanctioning Outcomes
DCJ has freed up 75 jail beds DCJ removed barriers to alternative sanctions, and expanded their use Public safety has not been negatively impacted nor has there been forced jail releases DCJ has avoided the cost of 26,826 jail bed days over 9 months

COMPARING BASELINE PERIOD (11/07-4/08) TO LAST HALF FISCAL YEAR 2009, INCREASED TOTAL NON-CUSTODY SANCTIONS BY 222% HAVE ALSO IMPLEMENTED “SRF FEEDBACK LOOP” TO TRACK INDIVIDUAL OFFENDER TO SHOWING UP FOR SANCTION AND SUCCESS. PROVIDED MONTHLY TO OFFICERS AND MANAGERS

Public safety has not been negatively impacted
May 2007: 68 felony arrests/516 offenders = 13% May 2008: 45 felony arrests/411 offenders = 11% No matrix releases
