Labels and Key (all evidence and large furniture)

12. Scaled Sketches
Scaled Sketch = a diagram of the crime scene that uses a scale to represent real measurements
Scale = a mathematical relationship between a drawing and a real object/distance
ex) 1 inch = 1 mile
- ex) 1 box = 1 cm  our scale

13. Steps for Scaled Sketches
Make a rough sketch
Identify/locate evidence and furniture
Take measurements (label rough sketch)
Sizes and distances
Draw the scene to scale
Draw the outline of the scene first
Add evidence and furniture
Label with measurements

14. Finish the Scaled Sketch
Key (what do the letters represent?)
Date, Time, Location, Artist
Add notes to describe the evidence (notes can go on the back)
