The participating Associations (US, EU, Japan, China, Chinese Taipei) agree: To stick to the agreement achieved in Kobe and the approach defined in Kobe To move forward towards a common reduction value in Energy consumption To not include the guiding value in the Policy Paper, but to communicate the guiding value 15% reduction to SEMI on an informal basis. To simplify the Policy Paper further where proposed The group works to find an appropriate reduction value latest in the Shanghai Meeting Check anti trust situation of paper Action items: Issue Action Who? Until when? Simplify Policy Paper Provide input to ESIA All Associations Collect input on technical frame conditions SEMI involvement Approach SEMI on informal basis SIA in the Until Meeting Antitrust Legal check

6 Recommended next steps: Policy Paper on Energy Reduction
Wait for SEMI feedback beginning March on White Paper and possibly include Option to escalate White Paper to SEMI Board of Directors in March If no agreement revise and publish Policy White Paper as WSC in May Reduction program Review technical trends in order to provide reduction target proposal to TF autumn 2011 by Core Team including SEMI Approve target in February 2012 Officially communicate WSC reduction target WSC May 2012 Share information on communication strategy for semiconductor industry as enabler for resources efficiency in autumn 2011
