In 1996 Direct Insurance Group PLC was formed as a specialty, client orientated, commercial insurance broker. Over this time, we received a generally negative experience when dealing with Lloyd’s brokers to access the specialist capacity we required. It became clear to us that the Lloyd’s market lacked a service orientated, specialist wholesale broker; one who had its DNA in delivering solutions to customers directly, thus being able to truly understand the needs of the retail broker market. As a result, Direct Insurance London Market was formed with the specific aim of serving the London Market needs of commercial insurance brokers in the UK and Ireland. Through our City of London office, near to the Lloyd’s building, we provide brokers and intermediaries with access to specialist markets for all kinds of risks. As a part of development strategy, International Department, which have particular expertise in risks located in various regions around the world, have been created. At present it is a team of highly skilled multilingual professionals.
