WHY MULTI 2 DIAMONDS? Benji ACOL gives only option of weak 2 in majors Multi 2 diamond has variation with wider choice of points and giving a message to partner Helps to confuse opposition – keeps opposition guessing Stops opposition from bidding

3 FOLLOWING ACOL BIDS REMAIN SAME
23+ is still 2 Club 20 to 22 points Spade or 2 Hearts if these are the strong suites 21 to 22 points – Balanced hand bid 2 NT – (Note 21 – 22 points precise bidding)

4 WHEN TO BID MULTI 2 DIAMONDS?
When there are 8 straight tricks When there are 20 – 22 points but strength in Minors When there are 6 – 10 points and 6 cards in majors When there are 19 – 20 points and balanced hand

5 Response if responder has less then 15 points
If responder has less then 15 points then response is relay bid – 2 Hearts If opener is weak in hearts, then pass…..if opener is weak in spades he bids 2 spades and responder passes If opener has 19 – 20 pts and balanced hand then he replies with 2 NT Respondent either shows longest suit or bids 3 NT UNLESS he has 13 + points and there is slam chance If opener has 20 – 22 points and is strong in minors, then he replies with 2 NT, and on reply from responder, he shows his minor suit

6 RESPONSE IF RESPONDER HAS 15+ POINTS
If responder has 15+ points then he bids 2NT Opener replies with spades or hearts if 6 – 10 points and 6 cards in the major Opener will try for slam if 19 – 20 points

7 DEFENCE AGAINST MULTI 2 DIAMONDS
If opponent has good points then he doubles If opponent has 20+ points then he bids 3 diamond showing 20+ points
