A. Teachers lead in their classrooms: Take responsibility for all students’ learning Communicate vision to students Use data to organize, plan, and set goals Use a variety of assessment data throughout the year to evaluate progress Establish a safe and orderly environment Empower students

Example evidence: A. Teachers lead in their classrooms: Rules are posted, classroom is neat, materials are organized Works with department/grade level to analyze test scores to determine student needs and plans lessons accordingly Assesses student learning in a variety of ways and uses assessment results to implement changes in lesson planning Understands importance of students’ passing the grade or course that they teach Provides tutoring sessions before or after school to help struggling students
