1 When Might I Need More than One Role/Appointment?
GPC One-Pager When Might I Need More than One Role/Appointment? OA/OPCs, A/OPCs, CPMs PIEE/JAM Formal appointment of GPC program officials is necessary to ensure program participants understand and can be held accountable for executing their assigned roles and responsibilities. GPC Program Officials must register for a PIEE account and request the role(s) necessary to perform their duties before they can initiate their JAM appointments. How do I add my multiple roles in PIEE? When initially requesting your roles, you can add all the roles and identify the Role Location DoDAAC/Group for each role. Or… If you need to add a role at a later date, you can log into your PIEE account, click “My Account,” click “Add Additional Roles,” and follow the instructions on the screen. Add the additional role(s) and the associated Role Location DoDAAC/Group for each. What else do I need to know? When creating an OA/OPC role/appointment, your Role Location Group might be the same as that for your CPM appointment. If you are an OA/OPC or A/OPC, when you nominate CHs and A/BOs, your relationship to those individuals is established automatically in the system regardless of DoDAACs. When might I need more than one role/appointment? CPMs in smaller agencies with flat hierarchies may also need to have OA/OPC or A/OPC roles/appointments. OA/OPC and A/OPC roles will be required to issue and maintain GPC Cardholder and Managing Account information in Access Online. The CPM role provides view-only access. CPMs in medium-sized agencies might manage A/OPCs, in which case they would also need an O/AOPC role/appointment. CPMs who manage CHs and A/BOs would also need an A/OPC role/appointment. If you are responsible for card accounts at an organization outside your hierarchy (i.e., your Component is a Servicing Agency providing GPC accounts to another Defense) you will need to request the appropriate role at that requesting organization to be able to view/access their data. You may have as many roles and associated appointments as necessary to perform your duties; but note that some roles, such as the Resource Manager, do not have appointments. For a full description of each JAM GPC role, see the GPC JAM Role Descriptions. 28 Nov 2018 3OP:007 PIEE DAU DPC/Purchase Card (Can be clicked in Slide Show mode)
