“ATTRACTING MORE LEADS!” I started off the presentation in a bit of a theatrical way, partly to gain their attention early and create a bit of mystery. (Thanks, Toastmasters)! After being introduced, I reached into my coat pocket and pulled my closed fist out and held it to my right & then began, saying (in a loud voice….). “Ladies and Gentlemen’, I stand before you today and hold in my hand the magic ingredient that when used correctly, it will supply you all the leads that you can handle….”. I paused, looking around the room for about 4 seconds then said, “Are you ready?” A small pause. I slowly opened my hand, revealing….nothing. I then clicked the PowerPoint to the second slide, and started to explain that Solutions 4 Growth we don’t perform magic, but what we do is apply effective Strategies, Systems and Process to move businesses to the next level!

No point of difference Website not converting Not enough leads from advertisements Always competing on price This is the slide I used as the basis for my 60 Seconds so I could link it to my 10-minute Presentation. I highlighted the problems in the slide above, advising that if they hear those sorts of comments out in the marketplace, that would be a great referral for me.

STRATEGIC, NOT TACTICAL USP Problems/Frustrations Target Markets Over 75 Strategies Talked about: How a lot of businesses in the marketplace have advertising that looks the same so that prospect ends up deciding to ‘buy on price.’ How most businesses used tactical methods instead of applying strategic marketing strategies. The need for business to identify their Target Markets, which need to match the problems/frustrations that their prospective clients have. That we have the expertise the get a client from where they are to where they can be if they will use the strategies we teach. We have access to over 75 strategies, so we have strategies that can suit any business and that we are part of a worldwide coaching franchise and can draw on the expertise of the Top Coaches in the world.

5 THE MARKETPLACE Talked about:
How most advertising only targets the ‘Now Buyers.’ Explained what I meant buy Now Buyers using the example of a Blinds & Shutters business (one of our members). I said to imagine that we are all Renters. I asked him would we be good referrals for him? He said no. I then advised that half of us would be buying a house within two years time. They would become good referrals for him, later so they are not Now Buyers. I asked him how he would keep in contact with them? He advised he didn’t know how… At Solutions4Growth we help our clients target 70% of their target market instead of just 3. How most small businesses don’t have $M marketing budgets. Touch Points and how I was about to show them how we could reduce the Touch Points (normally required to reach a customer) could be reduced from to 5-12 using a specific tool ie the Conversion Equation Evaluator.

9 INVITATION To see how Lead Generation strategies can work for businesses in your industry, I invite you to do the $10K Challenge! This was a simple invitation for BNI members (or any visitors in the room – there was one & I booked a $10K Challenge with him – he approached me) to do the $10K Challenge for their business, so they could see one of the was we work with and help clients and make it easier for them to refer me. The following wasn’t included in the presentation but I thought it would be helpful: The strategy helps them understand what the $10K is about and so when they see the benefits, it will be easier for them to give me referrals i.e. knowing the benefits, when they come across businesses who are struggling with their marketing, or who want to take their business to the next level, they can tell them how a $10K Challenge can help them. From there of course it is up to me once I have them in front of me. You may well pick up a client from your BNI Chapter (though that is not the initial goal), however if you do, and you start coaching them and enhance their success, business-wise, then they will be singing your praises to the group first-hand in the 'I Have' section and elsewhere. Another testimonial. Once you train/coach your fellow BNI members on the benefits of doing the $10K Challenge, you will then have every member looking out for businesses to do the $10K Challenge! The third benefit is that from each and every Chapter member you do a $10K with, you get a testimonial which you then use in your own marketing, with the goal to use them to obtain even more $10K Challenges. I had already done the $10K Challenge with 3 of my BNI members and they have been standing up in the ‘I Have’ section giving the group testimonials on the $10K challenge and on me personally. The benefits to the BNI Member are: The member gets to see how it will impact their own business. That you have made it easy to refer you. They can put in a ‘121’ with me on the BNI system as they can see one of the ways we work with clients. OTHER We also use the testimonials from the $10K Sessions in our marketing via Instagram & Facebook. At this point, we only have had minimal enquiry however - working on that. Actually, I rang a photographer friend and asked him if he had seen us advertise the $10K Challenge? He said he did and he was curious as to what it was about? I have booked him in for a $10K.
