2. Gather The Lord be with you And also with you
National Gardening Week was last week. Getting outside can be a very liberating experience for many people.
Growth is a key theme for any gardener. It is important to know what to keep and what to get rid of to make the best of what you have. Today in worship focus on what to prune in your life to make the most of who you are as well as rejoicing in the great outdoors.

3. Receive Then the Lord God planted a garden in Eden,
in the East, and there he put the man he had formed.
He made all kinds of beautiful trees grow there
and produce good fruit.
Genesis 2: 8-9a
Close your eyes and imagine the Garden of Eden.
You might like to imagine the most beautiful garden or
outdoor space you can think of.
As you imagine it take time to smell / move / sense the garden or
outdoor space.
Remember that at the first Easter the women mistook Jesus for the
Gardener. You might like to imagine you meet the risen Christ as you
imagine…

5. Respond Thank you, God, for this Garden of Eden called the world
that you have created for us. 
Give us eyes to see and honour its beauty. 
Give us the sense of responsibility
to preserve and protect this gift you have graciously given us. 
Help us to be responsible to see that our children's children
will find it a place of beauty, comfort, and sustenance. 
We ask these things through Christ, our Lord,
Amen.
