2 Why is Voter Turnout So Low?
Go to my website and click on the link for “Low Voting Turnout” - While reading the article, answer the following questions on the same post it as the warm up: 1. What global ranking is the United States for voter turnout? 2. What percentage of voters cast ballots in 2012 elections? What years does voter participation peak? When does it trail off? 3. How does the state that people vote in effect whether someone will vote or not? 4. What kind of restrictions did 14 states institute that would contribute to decreased voter participation? 5. What kind of things have been suggested to help improve voter turnout?

How is it decided how many electoral votes each state gets? How many electoral votes does a candidate need to received to win the presidential election? What are the six propaganda techniques? 5 Presidential Debates If your candidate won their primary – you are helping them prepare for the debate Make sure they can answer any questions about your party’s stances on taxes, immigration and gun control They also need to be aware of the other party’s stances on the same issues so they are ready to respond to what the other candidates are saying Prepare a closing statement that your candidate can read at the end of the debate – their last chance to win people’s vote If your candidate loses their primary – you are preparing questions to ask the candidates Work with your group to create questions so everyone does not have the same questions Must have one question for each party for each issue (write the party and issue for each question – For example: Green Party – Immigration)

Which candidate do you believe best understood and explained their stance on the major issues and won the debate? You must write one paragraph to support your choice
