2 Who We Are We are volunteer veterinarians, veterinary technicians and assistants We come from all over the US We hard working and fun loving We are committed to making a difference in the lives of dogs (and cats) in Ecuadorian communities

3 Casa Mojanda We provide accommodation for up to 8 nights
Breakfast daily Lunch daily Dinner daily Transportation to and from Quito airport at designated times.

4 You Are Responsible For
Airfare to Quito, Ecuador Carrying full weight allowance of supplies packed by Peluditos Transport, parking etc. at your home airport Tips Laundry service Liquor Rabies vaccine (suggested)

5 Please Bring Your Own Everyone Flashlight (batteries) Scrubs
Bandage scissors Reusable water bottle Surgeons Surgery caps Head lamp (batteries)

6 Can you bring a dog home with you?
There is no shortage of puppies and dogs who need good homes It is NOT inexpensive to transport dogs from Quito to the US. You must have a proper carrier We can provide health certificates, but dogs MUST be vaccinated for rabies for 1 month prior to travel to the US Dogs of Otavalo cannot assist you with cost of adopting dogs from Ecuador Do your Homework ahead of the trip Consult your airline for specific rules. Consult customs in your FIRST US airport on arrival back to the states

7 *The Typical 5 day Plan Day 1arrival in evening
Day 2 orientation meetings and set up clinic Day 3 spay/neuter/medical clinic for animals (8am-5pm) Day 4 spay/neuter/medical clinic animals Day 5 spay/neuter/medical clinic for animals Day 6 spay/neuter/medical clinic in new location (50-80 dogs) and medical/vaccination only in separate location Day 7 spay/neuter/medical clinic, medical/vaccination only in a.m. and pack up Days 8-9 optional extra days for touring area Departures any time after 5pm on final day *Each trip varies in exact length and location

8 A day in the life.. of a Peluditos volunteer
6am Hike to waterfall or sleep in 7am-7:45 Breakfast at Casa Mojanda 7:45am walk or ride to clinic 8am clinic begins Surgeries accepted until 3pm Recoveries completed by 5pm Return to Casa Mojanda for showers and dinner 10 pm rotating team to check on any inpatients
