The term “weak eyes” may mean quite a few things (tender, soft, sensitive, crossed), the context of the contrast with Rachel is that she was not the same beauty (her daughter Dinah must have been)
"your father has cheated me and changed my wages ten times”

15. The Problem of Polygamy
Genesis makes several points on marriage 1) Genesis 2:24 – one man, one woman for life 2) Genesis 20:3 – adultery is a sin 3) Genesis 4:19 – the first polygamist was unholy 4) In general, polygamy made problems Abraham & Sarah, Jacob & Rachel & Leah
Ge 2:24 For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.
Ge 20:3 ¶ But God came to Abimelech in a dream of the night, and said to him, "Behold, you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is married.“
Ge 4:19 ¶ Lamech took to himself two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other, Zillah.

16. The Problem of Polygamy
Polygamy is addressed under the law of Moses Law of Moses – Deuteronomy 21:15 David – 2 Samuel 12:8 Polygamy is not the only Old Law marriage problem Slave marriages Sexual assault (?) marriage Certified divorce (unspecific causes)
De 21:15 ¶ "If a man has two wives, the one loved and the other unloved, and both the loved and the unloved have borne him sons, if the firstborn son belongs to the unloved,
2Sa 12:8 'I gave you your master's house and your master's wives into your keeping, and gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more!

17. The Problem of Polygamy
The Law of Christ does not permit polygamy Matthew 19:3-9 - Jesus was teaching on HIS law - Today polygamy violates this law Jesus teaching also prohibits - Certified divorce - Sexual relationships apart from marriage
Ac 17:30 "Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent,

18. The Problem of Polygamy
Some things in the Old Testament needed changing 1) In times past God “winked” - Acts 17:30 2) Permitted because of the hardness of hearts - Matthew 19:8 3) In times past God had multiple covenants - Ezekiel 23:4, Ephesians 2:13-14
Ac 17:30 "Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent,
Eze 23:4 "Their names were Oholah the elder and Oholibah her sister. And they became Mine, and they bore sons and daughters. And as for their names, Samaria is Oholah and Jerusalem is Oholibah.
Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 ¶ For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall,
