1 Evaluation Why is an evaluation vital?
Conclusion and evaluation (max 12) Level 1 1-4 marks Level 2 5-8 marks Level 3 9-12 marks Conclusion Evaluation .States superficial conclusions showing tenuous (weak) links to the original aims. Simple evaluation showing little awareness of any Shortcomings (problems with investigation). States tentative (fair) conclusions linked to the original aims. Some judgements linked to information collected. Some evaluation of a limited range of weaknesses States clear conclusions in the light of the aims, clearly related to evidence collected. Makes a sound evaluation identifying weaknesses and suggesting improvement.

2 Why is some of our data more valid than others?
Discuss as a class …… Are you happier with some of the data you collected more than others? Could you have collected a broader range of data for a particular key question? Have you collected enough secondary data? What else could you collect? Was some of your information reliable and some not?

3 1)Validity of your data collection
This is ONE well explained paragraph! Choose the set of data, you collected/researched, that you think was reliable, well collected or well researched! Specify if it was Primary or Secondary Explain in detail why you think it is particularly valid.

4 2) Limitations of your data collection
If you discussed Primary data for validity now discuss Secondary data for limitations and visa versa. Pick a set of data that you think may have been limited or unreliable Explain why this data was limited or unreliable For example if you’re criticising; Secondary Data you might comment on . . . When collected? Old? Were people honest? Do you know who wrote it? Reliable web site? Primary Data you might comment on . . . Small sample sizes or area covered Impact of the day or time on data Impact of weather on data Impact of season on data Explain how this may have affected your data displays. (Be specific, which chart or graph may have looked different and how) Lastly say what you would do next time to avoid this from happening

5 Outcomes: You should have THREE well explained paragraphs:
How your evidence is valid How your evidence is limited What you would do to improve next time FINAL DEADLINE (conclusions and evaluations): Thursday 13th November
