Biotic= living

6. How much change can animals take?
Animals have a tolerance range
Tolerance range: the certain range of values for any environmental factor in which animals live.
Range of optimum: are the conditions under which an animal is most successful.

7. Limiting Factors
Limiting Factors: factors that limit the growth of an individual or group.
Occurs when an abiotic factor is out of an animal’s tolerance range.

8. Taxis
Taxis: When an organism orients itself towards an abiotic factor.
Example: Phototaxis (phototropism)
