11 SIP INSTRUCTIONAL GOALS
Goal Area 1: Student Achievement – Reading/Mathematics/Attendance During the school year, the percentage of all K-5 students reading at or above grade level will increase by 3% as measured by the EOY Universal Screener. During the school year, 80% of 3-5th graders will make the Think 30 club, as determined by Think Through Math learning resource.

12 SIP BUDGETARY IMPACT Goal Area 1 Cont.:
In the school year, average daily attendance will increase from 97.6% to 98% (by .4%) as measured by ADA documentation. Goal Area 3: Special Populations- Gifted and Talented The number of GT zoned students will increase by 10% in kindergarten (from 50% to 60%).

13 PD Focus for 2018 Reader’s/Writer’s Workshop Everyday Mathematics
Inquiry, Action and Philanthropy Differentiated Instruction with an emphasis on Inclusion and Dyslexia Intervention Gifted Education Plan for 425 Students

14 Looking Ahead Trends indicate ROE will continue to increase in zoned enrollment, and decrease in magnet enrollment. Trends indicate the ROE population will decline in the number of white students, and increase in minority populations following the trends of Houston, TX (based on Dr. Klineberg’s demographic study of Houston 30+ years) Curriculum changes may occur based on best practice and research such as meeting the needs of students who are dyslexic and limited English Proficient as these populations continue to increase over time. Budgeting for the future is significantly important as recapture decreases funding for ROE. Staff may be impacted over time with a reduction in some course offerings such as technology and science lab.
