9 Page Creation (Cont) Repeat the stages for as many pages as you wish (I tend to start with a page for each class but you might want to do it differently) Now you will need to select what you want to fill the spaces in the template you have chosen. (For example you might want: a calendar, a contacts list, one or two areas to add resources (documents) a weblink section A discussion forum But its up to you what you include.

10 Adding Webparts – choosing content and adding it to your page
Click on modify shared page In the drop down menu click on add web parts In the next menu click on browse You can choose from numerous fancy options by clicking on virtual server gallery but leave the my glow gallery selected for now. Now left click and hold on one of the web parts from the list and drag it into the box you want it. Repeat the above stage to fill up all of your empty webparts . Make sure you include a documents library, a weblinks and a calendar. (don’t worry they can easily be deleted)

11 Adding Resources Move the mouse cursor into the documents web part that you created and click on add new document Either type the name of the document in the box or click on browse. Select the drive that the document you want is in and then double click on the document you want to add. Repeat this for as many documents you want to add (Remember you can create as many different document libraries that you want perhaps for resources for different texts)

12 Creating a Forum (Discussion Board)
Click on advanced settings In the drop down menu click on create You could select any of these options in the same way, but scroll down to discussion board and click on that option. Now name your discussion board anything you want. Now click on new discussion and give the discussion a subject name and write whatever you want to say in the text box.

13 Discussion Boards (Forum)
Remember you can start as many discussions at you like at any one time and any of your class can contribute or start a new discussion topic (thread) This could be a homework question that the pupils could answer individually in this discussion board or it could just generate a post lesson heated debate!

14 Adding Weblinks Move the pointer to the weblinks webpart that you created and click on new item. In the box next to where it says URL type in the exact web address of the page you wish to link to. Try linking to Google or another page if you wish now. You can link to as many pages as you wish.
