(Think about your choice novel and personal narrative!) Add your ideas to the four main branches. Don’t just list people’s names. Put specific examples of how that person has faced and overcome a challenge.

7 How do you write a strong conclusion?
Wrap up what you have written. Summarize the main points. Explain the lesson you learned and how it can help the reader. What is the point? What effectively closes your story? Use different words to summarize what you have written. Include the Habit of Mind, what you learned from it, and why it is important for the reader to use that Habit of Mind. How do you write it? The videos attached to the two pictures in the middle of the slide really help to think about conclusions.

8 Personal Narrative: Conclusions
So what does my story have to do with the Habit of Mind? How does my story relate to the Habit of Mind? Now what am I going to do with the Habit of Mind? What have I learned? How can my readers implement this Habit into their lives? How can I use this Habit in the future? Use these questions to help you write a conclusion to your narrative.
