Review courses completed & courses still needed for graduation. Learn about next year’s grade- level course requirements. Review college entrance requirements - CADRs (university only) Connect class choices now to future plans Overview of challenging & dual credit courses (AP, CHS, advanced courses) Get ready for registration for next year

5 cadrs Only for university entrance in Washington state
English – 4 credits (met through high school requirement) Math – 3 credits: algebra 1, geometry, & algebra 2 Math-based quantitative course in senior year (additional math or quantitative science course, ie: physics, chem) Science – 2 credits (met through high school requirement) World language – 2 credits in same language Social science (history) – 3 credits (met through high school requirement) The arts – 1 credit (met through high school requirement) Always check with out of state colleges for their requirements

6 Advanced & dual credit classes: advanced placement
College course taught in high school. College board curriculum demonstrates commitment & success in rigorous course for college applications Most colleges nation-wide offer college credit, advanced placement, or both, for qualifying ap exam scores Take ap exam in may ($100 or no charge if free/reduced lunch)

7 Advanced & dual credit classes: College in High School
College course taught in high school through an agreement with local college (UW, Edmonds, Cascadia) demonstrates commitment & success in rigorous course for college applications Most require college placement exam to get the college credit Earn credit in the high school class = earn credit in the college class Upon completion, Transcript developed at the college we have the agreement with not as easily transferred out of state as AP can be No exit exam required
