Two teams of nursing majors presented research at the Mosby Faculty Development Institute.
An art student received first place for her graphic design portfolio at the American Institute of Graphic Arts.
A student in political science was named the National Nontraditional Student of the Year by the Association for Nontraditional Students in Higher Education.

A chemistry student presented her work at the Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy.
A student athlete was named to the ESPN Academic All-American team.
A student graduated from the ROTC Leadership Development and Assessment Course at Fort Lewis, WA with the top rating of “excellent.”
The certification pass rate for students graduating in health information technology was 16% percent above the national average.

Implemented storage area network and residence hall network upgrade, and began replacing high-speed data network switches.
Upgraded Banner version 6.X to version 7.X.
Facilitated successful completion of the FCC mandated transition of Western's Instructional Television Fixed Service (ITFS) to the new Educational Broadband Service (EBS) frequencies.
