20 Band Fees and Fundraisers (cont.) Why Do We Do Fundraising? Why Do We Do Fundraising? It costs about $700/per student per/school year to put them on the field and on the stage during concert season Student in Band Fees only covers less than half of the cost of running a top- notch band program. The other fees that must be paid vary by student (uniform cost, Show shirts, Polos, shoe cost, solo/ensemble fee cost) only those items that are specifically related to your individual student. Other major expenses that must be covered by fundraising (approximately $300 fair share per student) that benefit the band as a whole.
