Symbolism – is when you use one thing to represent something else: dove = peace
Exaggeration – a statement that shows something as better or worse than it actually is:
Labeling—using terms/initials to clarify something in the cartoon
Analogy—comparison between two unlike things to make a point
Irony—when the result is opposite of what you would expect
