3 REVISION METHOD You have now encoded the information and can use the alphabet system to remember upto 26 key words. Example. You need to remember the following list of words Quantity, quality, location, sales, price, advertising, costs Now create short sentences with each of the above words in and start from the word associated with A in the alphabet to begin with… eg What is the quantity of apples? Quantity now rehearse the sentences for the test… What is the quality of bananas? Quality I know the cats’ location. location How many dog sales were there. Sales What is the price of the elephant? Price Pass me the advertising gun. advertising What is the cost of the helicopter? costs

4 Sequential story link (SSl) System
This is an extension of the alphabet system but with this method the previous data learned is not erased with new data. You create vivid, imaginary stories linking your key words in the alphabet to the new key words you are trying to learn. For example in maths it could be the trig ratios sohcahtoa The sun rises above the apple tree. Opposite the house lies the banana tree. My house is the one with a cat… notice I have used a key word from your alphabet list to the key word you are learning in each sentence. Now memorise your story and take it to the exam to unlock all your key words to use to help you in the exam. There should be a ssl in the story you create.

5 Rooms of the mind system
Here you need to write down at least 6-8 rooms in your house and for each room list 20 objects that are in the room and write them down in the order from left of the door to all around the room to where you started… Bedroom could be door, light, desk, bed, etc… Next step is to do this for each room in your house. you need to be able to remember all the items in each room in the correct order starting from the left hand side. Finally you now need to create an imaginary story linking all the room objects to the items with the key words you need to learn. The portal could be to use the bedroom as the chemistry key words you need to remember, and the living room objects could be for the physics keywords etc. link each word to an item in the room using a sentence which needs to be remembered. You can create as many rooms and objects in the rooms which makes this method the most powerful memory tool.
