3 Rest- Looking to God as our source and provider.

4 What looks like real rest to you?
-Spending time at home with my family -Going on a long hike in the forest by myself -Drawing a detailed picture -Working hard and getting dirty -Sitting down with a good book and reading for a long time -Going on a long bike ride -Playing catch with a football on a cool day -Building something out of wood.

5 What looks like real rest to you?
-Cleaning the house up real nice like -Playing games with friends -Reading my Bible and praying in a quiet place -Playing music and singing along. -Watching a good movie and not answering the phone -Programming a new game on my computer -Spending much time with God casting my cares on Him. -Trusting God even when life doesn’t make sense

10 Fear = Revere, to behold in reverence
Reverence = to show honor or deep respect for someone To Revere the Lord = to worship, follow and obey.

12 How might God be inviting you into a deeper reverence for Him?
-Through personal discipline and self control -Spending time alone with God -Reflecting on how great God is. -Worshiping the Lord by singing songs of praise. -Living in obedience in what God really wants me to do

16 In what ways would you like to grow in trust?
-Trusting God for the finances that I need. -Trusting God for my future decisions -Depend on God more to work in other people’s lives -Be calm and not anxious in the moment -Learning to be content with what I have -Living simply

17 Generosity – Sharing our finances, our resources, our time, our skills

18 Read Deut. 15:7-8, 10 7If anyone is poor among your fellow Israelites in any of the towns of the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward them. 8Rather, be openhanded and freely lend them whatever they need. 10Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.

-Practicing hospitality more by inviting others to our home -Use my skills more for His glory -Be a better listener -Do a better job of tithing -Give a special one-time large financial gift to the Lord -Support a missionary financially -Give of my time generously to others -Put others first before myself

-Taking time to reflect on God’s faithfulness in the past -Take time to write down memories -Take time to reflect, and thank God as I look through past photos and journals -Write down how God worked in Israel’s history –Find a quite place by myself to just be still and thank God.

-To understand the names of God and what they mean -To understand the work of the Holy Spirit -To understand the many ways God has shown His love. -To deeply study the Gospels -To know God’s mercy, grace, and love. -Memorize more scripture
