4. Main Works (1) Technical improvements of the navigation tree .
Optimization of The IT platform .
Improvement on the quick search on the home page.
Deep analysis of the indexing properties is ongoing.

5. Main works (2)
A more performing search engine including its display properties is investigated with our IT contractor.
A project for maps ands and graphs functionalities for the predefined tables has been launched and the first result is expected in July 2006.
A project for comparing country and gender profiles and displaying the results accordingly is in preparation.

6. Main works (3)
A project for displaying explanatory texts for all datasets and sub themes integrated into the site is in preparation.
Agreement on the functional and technical specifications for the new common user interface . The first prototype should be expected at the end of the second semester 2006.
The URL stability package will be delivered end of May 2006 and implemented in June 2006.

7. Main works (4) The RSS feeds extended to 14 countries.
More dedicated statistics have been put on line.
The FTP bulk download abandoned and only the HTTP bulk download remains.
Work on "FIND" function similar the one of statistical Sweden.
A key figures region such as GDP, inflation, employment, etc will be inserted on the home page and refreshed automatically

As the mobile handheld devices access is growing in the internet world, an analysis has been launched to study its feasibility with the Eurostat portal.
