12 Learning Outcomes The measurable expected results of an instructional program or service, which contribute to the achievement of department goals. Learning Outcomes: Specific statement about what knowledge, skill, or behavior a participant will acquire as a result of participating in a program or service Service Outcomes: Focus on the quality and quantity of programs and/or service. Such outcomes typically use satisfaction surveys or user counts as metrics.

17 Evaluating Learning Outcomes
• Clarity Outcomes are specific and detailed action statements. Outcomes are congruent with the organization’s mission and goals. • Measurable Outcomes are able to provide evidence of educational benefits. Outcomes are observable. • Useful/Meaningful Outcomes are able to guide the decision making process. Outcomes are learning centered.

Because your goals, learning/service outcomes, and programs are designed based on institutional, divisional, and departmental missions  they are mission aligned. Activity Based upon the stated learning outcome and service outcome for your department, what programs/services could be offered to accomplish this? How would you know if it worked?
